Well some say that they have fancy birds, for example show birds. I can indeed appreciate pretty, fancy birds with all their feathers and toes where they are supposed to be. But not all birds are “perfect” physically, but as members of your family, they can be perfect. With all the birds I have, I find that those that come from another home, whether Greyhaven or elsewhere appreciate the little things more. The treats, snuggles and toys. They never expect it, and they give you that look of appreciation every time you give it to them.
To all of you who don’t think you have a fancy bird in your flock.
Below are some of the fancy birds I have.
• Fancy 3-Toed Budgie (Peter)
• Fancy Blind Lovebird (Luna)
• Fancy Collared Budgie (Dexter)
• Fancy Chubby Budgie (Gertie)
• Fancy Brain-Damaged Budgie (Toby)
• Fancy Second-Hand Budgie (Many)
• Fancy Feather-Picking Lovebird (Macaroni)
• Fancy Hormonal Cockatiel (Chanel)
• Fancy Geriatric Abused Budgie
• Fancy Destructive Budgie (Fiona)
• Fancy Anxiety-Stricken Budgie (Storm)
I also have a Fancy Show Budgie (Oliver) (well he is really a reject fancy show budgie, as he was purchased from a show budgie breeder because he was not “fluffy” enough!)
Please feel free to share your fancy bird stories.
